🥜 In a nutshell:

If you're experiencing an error using our website or app, try logging out and back in, refreshing your browser, using incognito mode, or clearing your cache and cookies. If issues persist, send a screenshot of the error message to support for further assistance.

Encountering an error message can be frustrating, but there are several steps you can take to potentially resolve the issue quickly and get back to your activities. Many of the platform errors we've seen are caused by an issue with the browser. But no worries, here are a few things you can do to try and fix it quickly:

Refresh your browsing session

  • Log out and log back in: One of the simplest solutions to resolving platform errors is to log out of your application and log back in. This action can refresh your session and often resolve minor issues related to authentication or session management. If you continue to encounter the error after logging back in, proceed to the next steps.

  • Refresh your browsing session: Sometimes, simply refreshing your browser session can fix minor glitches that cause errors. Press the refresh button on your browser or use the keyboard shortcut This can help clear temporary issues and load the latest version of the webpage.

    • To reload the page:

      • On Windows, usually F5 or Ctrl+R

      • On Mac, Command+R

Try a different browser or incognito mode

Occasionally, browser settings or extensions can interfere with web navigation. Open a different browser than the one you're currently using or try an incognito window in your existing browser to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem is related to your primary browser. Incognito mode disables extensions and uses default settings, which can be helpful in identifying whether a specific setting or extension is causing the issue.

Incognito mode provides a clean browsing environment, free from stored data and active extensions. So if the error does not occur in incognito mode, this suggests that the problem may be related to your browser's settings, extensions, or cached data. After determining that, the next step is to clear your browser cache and cookies.

Clear your browser cache and cookies

A corrupted cache can cause issues with loading websites correctly. Clearing your browser’s cache will eliminate any stored data that may be causing the error. Here’s how you can usually do this:

  • Access cache settings: On most browsers, you can access cache settings through the 'History' or 'Settings' menu.

  • Select 'Clear browsing data': Choose the option to clear your browsing data. Make sure to select both 'Cached images and files' and 'Cookies and other site data'.

  • Specify the time range: Choose an appropriate time range (e.g., 'All time' to ensure all cached data is cleared).

  • Confirm and clear: Click the 'Clear data' button to remove the cached data and cookies.

By clearing your cache and cookies, you can eliminate potential sources of app and website error and ensure that your browser is using the most current data.
